So What is Affiliate Marketing?

Put simply it is an arrangement between YOU (the affiliate) and the company in which you will promote their product and gain a commission at no extra cost to the consumer.

This is done by the company providing you with a personalized unique link that you will use to sell their product.

Once a customer clicks on your link or buys their product through your link you will receive a percentage of the sale. This is called a commission.

With 90% of the world, companies use affiliate marketers to promote their brands and they pay you generously to do so. IT'S A WIN-WIN situation!

The best part is you're not responsible for the product, inventory or customer service!

Your only job is to simply drive "traffic" to your link via email marketing, by talking about it on TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest - the list is endless etc. and BOOM you get PAID!

How Does It Work?

Affiliate marketing is a performance-based advertising method that enables third parties (like yourself) to earn commission on sales that people (on your media platforms) initiate. Affiliate marketing is when a third party (known as an affiliate, ie you) promotes an advertiser’s product or service and earns a commission for any sales they generate.

An affiliate (you) sends visitors (your followers) to an advertiser’s website, and if any of these visitors (followers, friends, family - anyone really that clicks on the link) then goes on to make a purchase this transaction is then recorded by the network and the network assigns a commission to the affiliate for initiating the sale.

A key advantage of this over more traditional promotional channels is that customer clicks and conversions are tracked, so advertisers only pay for actual clicks or sales generated by the affiliate.

It is free to become an affiliate and is a great way to monetize an online audience. One of the biggest advantages of becoming an affiliate is you can promote a product without having to own any stock.

Although it is very beneficial to do some research and look into a course. You can learn for free online. But I, like so many on TikTok and Instagram - recommend doing a course to save time, money and stress. As they are often full of information to get you started. You don't have to buy their affiliate partners program - but you will often get offered the choice too. (look in my Stan Store or reach out if you need help)

You can then go off and be an affiliate for so many other companies - like literally every company that you shop with and many that don't even know about - have affiliate programs - don't believe me, google your favorite's plus affiliate program - I guarantee that you will find it.

The 'downside' is that it does take a moment to set it all up, learn and implement - but the rewards are potentially ENORMOUS. You DO NOT NEED A HUGE FOLLOWING because your platforms will be filled up with like-minded people interested in YOU and what you have to offer.

It also can take time - making videos, editing, posting - but there are so many places to help and make this so much more streamlined.

The third thing to remember - results are not guaranteed and it depends on your motivation and skills that will get success.

But don't give up - keep learning, keep growing. This is not going anywhere - take one small step each day - and get excited.

So what is a digital product?

A digital product is a digital good that is created, sold, and purchased online. In most cases, it is even consumed online (including printables). Unlike physical products that you buy online, which need to be stuck in a box with packing peanuts and shipped to you. Digital products are delivered via the Internet, usually instantly after your purchase, with all the links, downloads, pdf etc that you need and are mostly likely non-refundable

When you create your own digital products to sell online, it is commonly referred to as "digital product creation" or "creating digital products." This process involves developing and packaging digital content, such as e-books, online courses, software, templates, graphics, music, or videos, that can be delivered digitally over the internet.

Digital product creation allows individuals or businesses to leverage their expertise, knowledge, or creative skills to generate income by selling their products online.

The internet created a new way of doing business and made it possible for a wave of new types of products, plus the digitization of a bunch of old-world products.

You used to go to the bookstore to buy the newest Harry Potter. Now you might just get it on your e-reader or phone. This is the same with your calendars, planners & so much more.

Digital products are a fantastic monetization option for creative entrepreneurs because they are often endlessly scalable. When you sell a new digital course or e-book, you don’t need to create them again. You simply give the user access to that digital product through some sort of paywall. That’s a huge advantage for the creator.

But don’t be fooled by their simplicity. Although digital products are everywhere, it can take a lot of work to make a good one, and many don’t sell. We live in an age of digital product oversaturation, so slapping any old thing into a PDF and putting a price tag on it is unlikely to get you many customers. The best digital products are well-researched, well-executed, and constantly improved.

• Online Marketplaces: Websites like Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, and Etsy, provide a platform where you can list and sell your digital products to a large customer base.

• Membership Sites: With membership sites, you can create exclusive content and offer it to subscribers for a recurring fee. Platforms like Patreon or Teachable enable you to create and manage your own membership site.

• E-commerce Platforms: Platforms like Shopify, allow you to set up an online store where you can sell both physical and digital products.

• Self-Hosted Websites: You can build and manage your own website to sell digital products. This option provides more control and customization but requires technical knowledge or the assistance of web developers.

The reason why it is so popular and a good way to earn an income is that you need:

• And the best this is it is no risk... just your time and effort one time for life.

• You can teach a topic that someone is wanting to learn about - you can help them.

You can buy a done-for-you product, which you can edit, repurpose and resell as your own.

• Private Label Rights (PLR): PLR products are pre-created digital products, such as e-books, articles, or software, that are sold with the permission to modify, rebrand, and claim ownership of the content. Buyers can often customize the products and sell them as their own.

• Master Resell Rights (MRR): MRR products grant buyers the right to resell the product to others, while also allowing the subsequent buyers to resell it as well. However, MRR products typically do not permit modifications to the content or claim of ownership.

• Resell Rights (RR): Similar to MRR, resell rights allow buyers to resell the product, but without the right to grant resell rights to others. The product cannot be modified, and the ownership remains with the original creator.

• Personal Use Rights: Products with personal use rights are intended for personal consumption only. They cannot be resold or given away to others. Buyers are granted access to use the product for their own purposes, but not for commercial distribution.

• Royalty-Free: This term is commonly used for digital media assets, such as images, music, or videos. Royalty-free products can be purchased for a one-time fee, and buyers can use them in various projects without the need for additional payments or royalties.
